Tropical Plants, Succulents and Cactus Plants Made From Upcycled Plastic Bottles

At first glance, they look like window sills full of little cactus plants and succulents. But take a closer look! 

Yup, those are all plants made from recycled - or upcycled - plastic water bottles and plastic soda bottles. Awesome, right?!

Illustrated Cactus Design & Sleepy Art Kitty

I was painting some quick watercolor cactus illustrations and couldn't resist snapping a couple photos of this sleepy art kitty who loves to hang out with me while I work.

She couldn't keep her eyes open and then she finally gave in and put her head down! 

I really like the way the cacti turned out, just kind of quick and fresh and simple. I did them in green, and then made copies of the artwork in blue and purple.

The Most Adorable Crochet Cactus Pincushion

Sometimes I come across something so adorable that I just have to share it, know what I mean? It's not recycled, it's not upcycled, salvaged or re-used, but it's absolutely adorable!

This little crochet cactus is a free pattern from here. I think it makes the cutest pincushion ever! Not a sewer? This might just make you want to start!
